where in the world is the jamani duo? (Part II)

Yesterday, the j.a.m.ani duo set foot on Canadian soil once again!

Matt and Jodi spent the last year working on Master of Music degrees at the University of Southern Mississippi (USM). It was an incredibly full and productive year!

One of the highlights of the year was a recording project with Ney Rosauro, world-renowned composer and performer and one of our long-time percussion heroes! Vic Firth is producing several videos from our time with Rosauro. The first to be published is posted below. It is a beautiful piece for solo vibraphone called "Reflections on the New World". More pieces to come soon!

This summer should be equally busy and exciting! In addition to a wedding (!!!), the j.a.m.ani duo already has several performances lined up. On Friday, June 6, the j.a.m.ani duo will be playing for the U of L Conservatory of Music's "Feel the Beat" Lunch & Listen Concert Series. This concert will be in the Casa Community Room (230-8th Street South) from 12:15 - 1:00pm, and it is completely free! Mark your calendars!
